Coming Next Week: The Year in Review
Next week we'll be wrapping 2006 up in a nice, neat package and placing a glorious bow on the whole mix. Starting Monday, the Best of the Year column will hit, with Top Ten list in tow. Wednesday we'll toss up the obligatory "if I were an Oscar voter" ballot, and Friday we'll wind it down with various awards and kudos. The In Contention Awards, or whatever self-important label you want to place on the thing. So stay tuned, and enjoy the weekend (if you can do both at once, that is).

I've noticed that while you changed your mind about Catch a Fire, you haven't changed the rating. It's still 2 stars. Intentional?

Bring it on. Can you please tell me what your SAG predictions?

It's interesting to note that the predictions listed on your old site (http://incontention.blogspot.com) are so vastly different from what it is now. Whatever happened to Hotstuff and Goya's Ghosts?

Numberina, Hotstuff became Catch a Fire. I'm still curious about Doris and Bernard and Goya's Ghosts. I hope they find distribution, even if they aren't positioned for awards.

I hope The Proposition will get some awards attention.
