I keeping getting asked via comments, email and Twitter, so I’ll just save some breath and make a mention here. Note the last two installments (2007 and 2008) landed in mid-January at the earliest. Expect the same this year, as I haven’t even begun to assemble all the shots and get the lensers on the horn for commentary. Patience.

Hey Kris this just occurred to me. If you do eventually do your shots column and talk to cinematographers for that, can you also ask them that what is their opinion about cinematography in Avatar and whether they consider it as such. As the lines are blurring between what is special effects and what is animated, would they redefine whats known as cinematography.
