What a dick. So there can’t be any reference to the fact that he is a Hollywood actor? It’s a good thing the host didn’t mention Thorton’s marriage to Angeline Jolie and the vials of blood.

He might as well should not have even shown up. He offered no major insight on the band, the other members could have done that (and respectfully) and he didn’t even play. Why does he make a fuss over him mentioning acting and screenwriting? It’s not like he was asking him what it was like to do Sling Blade or ask him about his phobia for antiques.

Rather then just sit there like a moron, and makes an ass of himself, I’m not sure why he didn’t just get up out of his chair and walk out, if he no longer wanted to participate in the interview. Am I missing something, or has Billy Bob ever done anything of real note in the music arena, that would give him just cause for being offended by the hosts intro??

Bands spend years building a fanbase in order to get radio interviews like this. Thornton’s band gets to jump the system because of his fame, and then he wants to pretend it does not exist? He is not Tom Petty, because Tom Petty is famous for being a musician. I have not heard Thornton’s band, but I wouldn’t think they were garnered the same respect as Petty.
I’d love to believe this is some kind of stunt, but his band look too genuinely flustered for that to be the case.
Such a terrific actor. Wish he’d get his head back sometime.

Hilarious. If I were the interviewer, I would have just talked to the other guys. By the end, Billy Bob is just being proded. Gah!

I noticed this act is like the same stunt joaquin pulled and got both of them lots of media attention. No one would have watched it if they would have just had a normal interview.
