‘Jennifer’s Body’ red-band trailer

As someone who believes “Juno” largely succeeded despite its multi-garlanded screenplay, rather than because of it, I can’t say I’ve been looking forward to Diablo Cody’s follow-up with great anticipation. (Evidently hot soundtrack notwithstanding.) Still, while this cheerfully tacky trailer for “Jennifer’s Body” does little to change my mind in that regard, I do credit Cody for playfully running as far from Oscarland as she could with this effort — a canny way to keep the industry pressure at bay.

To any Karyn Kusama fans waiting for another “Girlfight” … keep waiting. To any Megan Fox fans waiting for cleavage shots … voilà.

    It looks like a fun movie, but Juno is too fresh in my mind for any chance of my participation in the viewing of this film.

    The whole Megan Fox thing is one of the biggest aberrations I’ve seen in movies in quite some time. Its kinda like Denise Richards. Starship Troopers and a Bond movie. Yes Fox is hot but so are a 1000 other girls in Hollywood who are acting challenged. Hey-Good for her. No ill will here. Question is -will she be the star of a CW show in three years? Maybe if the CW is still around.

    This movie looks like shit. I don’t care how hot she is. Like Chuck said, there are so many other hot chicks out there. I’m sure some of them can act too, unlike Fox.

    A rule for me about movie trailers: If it advertises the soundtrack, the movie is a POS.

    Looks like fun actually. Does every movie have to be some kind of groundbreaker? WHATEVER. Looks like good teen horror fun with a sense of humor.

    I agree with Nicky. This just looks like fun. A sex comedy/horror/gore fest. Loved “Juno”; I’m bound to like this. It’s not gonna “Schindler’s List”, but I wouldn’t put it in the “Gigli” pile quite yet.
