Is the season boring?
Is it? I think it just might be. I'm neck deep in research for 2007. I've hit my wall for 2006. But hey, it least it came a month later than it did last year.
(Regarding the below item, I guess it's "Bobby" that ultimately grabbed the ensemble slot sans individual category recognition.)
Yeah this year is boring and so predictable.
I'm looking forward to next year with strong female performances like The Golden Age and The Other Boleyn Girl. Yeah baby..It's a chick flick galore.......

way out of left field thought this morning... Florian Henckle von Donnersmark (Lives of Others) for best director, replacing Clint Eastwood (since I don't think he's going to get his best picture nomination).
Not that it makes much sense, but it's a film the directors branch will probably see that most other branches will not. and they may pull a City of God on us.
