The Weinstein Company has announced it is celebrating “Mandela Day” (today is Nelson Mandela’s 95th birthday and, happily, he seems to be getting a bit better after his recent health scare) by dropping a full-length trailer for Justin Chadwick’s upcoming “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.”

Oscar winners Rick Carter and Alex Gibney among newly elected Academy governors

Ten first-time governors have been elected to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Board of Governors. In addition, eight incumbents have been reelected and one previous governor is returning to the board. This year’s election increases the Academy’s governing body from 43 to 48.
