Oscar Guide 2011: Best Music (Original Song)
Posted by Kristopher Tapley · 11:34 am · February 21st, 2012
So, 39 songs were qualified for eligibility in this year’s Best Original Song race. 39. That’s one short of 40. Posted by Kristopher Tapley · 3:11 pm · December 15th, 2011
This year’s race for Best Animated Feature Film is a bit of a full one. After only 15 titles qualified last year (yielding just three nominees), the total number of qualifying films in the hunt this time around is 19, meaning we’ll have a set of five contenders when the nominees are announced in January. This year’s Best Original Song race is slowly beginning to take shape. But we need to pull together a list of contenders before things get too far along. Possibilities from Chris Cornell’s “The Keeper” to a trio of tracks from “The Muppets” could all be in play this season, but what else?
