The London Film Critics Circle (of which I’m a member) handed out its year-end kudos this evening, and “The Artist” was the big winner, taking awards for Film of the Year, Director of the Year and Actor of the Year.

'Drive' and 'Tinker, Tailor' top London Film Critics' Circle noms

The London Film Critics’ Circle mixed things up a little in their nominations, promoting “A Separation” to the top races and handing Best Actress mentions to Kirsten Dunst and Anna Paquin. Meanwhile, it was “Drive” and local favorite “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy” that came out on top, with six nods apiece.

Sony Classics aims for lead with Knightley in 'Method,' supporting for 'Carnage' cast

Sony Pictures Classics has been holding off on a definitive category choice for both the actors of “Carnage” and Keira Knightley in “A Dangerous Method.” Now it seems they’ve finally settled on a course of action.
