'Birdman' and genre love from Las Vegas film critics

The Las Vegas Film Critics Society is the latest regional critics group to unveil award winners for 2014, and it was “Birdman” that came away the biggest hit with seven awards, including Best Picture.

Chicago critics board the 'Boyhood' bandwagon

The Chicago Film Critics Association announced 2014 superlatives Monday night and it was “Boyhood” coming out on top. Also, in what must have been a heartwarming moment during the announcement dinner, “Life Itself” won Best Documentary.
